 Each Year for My Nation!

I don't want to sound philosophical,
As I’m not,
Neither I’m a person very well-read,
Nor, I’m a person with any crown on the head,
But still,
Sometimes, I do feel like penning down,
Just as a girl of origin brown,
Even though I have worked and lived in different continent towns,
With my head high,
I still have a thousand reasons & arguments ready to keep the country fly,
And you should not ask the reason why?


In this year,
I have the same vision,
For the people of my nation,
May for no child the school remains a distant dream,
May inside the school corridors, in joy, they can scream,
May they’ll get the right fuel,
May they’ll be provided with all the needfuls.

May there’ll be zero female foeticides,
May each girl get the good family side,
May each girl get the right ignition,
All the discretion to have a vision, some ambition,
May all the children get at least one good teacher and a supportive ecosystem.

May we all sound bit more logical,
May we understand and sound a bit more ethnological,
May we all develop good scientific temperament,
May we all be a bit less judgemental,
May we all develop more courage to be more experimental,
May we all stick to all our good fundamentals,
May we’ll turn a bit more sensitive towards issues, at least occurring in proximity,
May we gain some more financial literacy,
May we try to understand some more of history, philosophy, psychology, sociology, political ideology,
More of geography, some terms of economy and ecology!

May we adapt and encourage healthy practices,
May we witness more sound academic conversations,
More fruitful, healthy discussions,
May we try to balance our emotional & intelligence quotients,
May we witness more supportive and progressive components,
Indeed get the constructive feedback from the opponents,
And may we’ll make our work as strong as propellant!

May we get more real facts,
Less fake news traps,
May we witness less crime,
May we manage to get some good family time,
May we all stay lively, jolly, happy and young by heart,
May we extend a room for someone to open their heart,
May we all witness good health, indeed to sustain a decent amount of healthy, respectful wealth!

A simple middle-class village girl who keeps strengthening her wings to fly around the world!
